5 bedrooms including 2 with private bathroom, + 1 common bathroom, rotating chimney-TV - Sauna and fitness room, private climbing gym, 1000 sq.m lawn, large terrace for dining and relaxing completely not overlooked, quiet hamlet comprising 4 houses, stroll on foot from the cottage along the Giffre, lake in 5 minutes, view of Pic du Marcelly and access ski resorts in 7 minutes. In spring and summer: Tree climbing in 5 minutes, leisure base with various activities: skating rink, tennis, children’s game, swimming, horse riding , pony, mountain biking and the Fer à Cheval (horseshoe) cirque: ranked in tree climbing heritage, many hikes in the valley/family hike (Sixt donkey rental), Mountaineering: Samoens Guides Office by reservation, information on hiking areas on-the-site at the chalet, possibility of organising a trek and reservation of wellness and fitness shelters: An Infrared sauna for 5 people and a fitness area at your disposal. Chalet in good position, a short drive to ski lift. Good hosts, very informative on arrival.
The chalet itself was of a satisfactory standard. We were a party of 8 adults and 2 children ( chalet can sleep up to 12) We found the living accommodation a bit tight for us all and very little space in the kitchen area when we were all sat at the table. The kitchen itself was well equipped.
The bedrooms were adequate however the beds very hard and somewhat uncomfortable. Finally two toilets for a chalet this size is not really sufficient.
