About this cottage rental
Ideal for 2 families: a Norman farmhouse from the 17th century, completely renovated.
Capacity: 7 people (+1, see 2 people in extra bed).
Linen is provided (sheets, duvets, towels).
Info to know: NO WI-FI in the cottage (4G ok). Wi-Fi with the owners (100 m from the house - the code will be given to you).

right: 2 communicating bedrooms and bathroom (shower-sink-WC).
On the ground floor :
a fitted, spacious and bright kitchen,
a dining room with large rustic table, the stove (pellet), and a living room side;
in the center of the house: a living room from which the oak staircase leaves. In the extension, a large room serving as a games room,
toilets,
and at the bottom, a laundry area and service entrance.
Respect for authenticity and concern for the environment make it a particularly warm and comfortable home.
All of these living rooms open onto a large green space to explore! The children (under parental supervision) will discover in a wild corner, a suspension bridge and the most courageous, a SHACK at the top of the old chestnut trees!
Here, we live according to the seasons, which each have their charm! You will appreciate the calm of the countryside in the heart of a 2 hectare property located 45 minutes from the Normandy coast (Honfleur, Deauville, Trouville)
Nearby: Brionne, Bernay, Bec Hellouin Abbey, Pont-Audemer ....
Cerza, the Hermival les Vaux zoo, is 40 minutes away.
(The gîte is independent, the owners live 100 m away in another house).

We have had a wonderful holiday in Stella and Rob's beautiful Gite. It's very spacious and well equipped. The garden space is very generous and we had plenty of opportunity for games and relaxing. The Gite is in a rural location but there are two nearby (15/20minutes) towns where you can find everything you need. From a standard supermarket to beautiful bakeries!We found ourselves driving mostly north to the coastal area which is between and hour and an hour and a half away but well worth it.Our young children loved feeding the sheep and our older ones made plenty of use of the table football and tabletennis.Unfortunately the tree house is currently out of commission after sustaining damage during a storm in July 2025. So if that's an element you're particularly interested in I recommend you contact the owners first. Thank you Stella and Rob for such a lovley base for us to have during our first holiday abroad with our 5 children. We have loved it! There's no wifi at the property so we bought some extra mobile data for our two week stay.

We had a wonderful week at Stella and Bob's property. The house was well equipped and set in beautiful and peaceful surroundings. Our children loved the table tennis, badminton net, football goal and swings & slide! Our hosts were very helpful and friendly and we hope to return in the future.

A beautiful renovated 300 year old barn.
We loved it. Lots to do and places to go. Peaceful and quiet but only 5 km from nearest town with great market twice a week and Carrefour.
The hosts Rob and Stella were very kind and very friendly. Stella cooked for us twice, both pies delicious - apple pie and a Quiche Lorraine.
Lots of games etc for the children including a wonderful tree house.
Just loved it.
The gite is so well equipped too.

We had an wonderful week staying in this beautifully renovated norman barn.Everything was very clean and extremely well presented. Very spacious,we are a family of six and there was more than enough room for everyone. The kitchen is very well equipped with anything you could possibly need to cook a large family meal. My children absolutely loved the tree house and rope bridge. There are also bikes in the garage for children to use and mine enjoyed that very much. They had a wonderful time feeding the sheep, chickens and geese. A big thank you to Stella and Bob for being such great hosts, so welcoming and kind and Stella made a delicious apple cake for our arrival.They live just a field away and are on hand should any issues arise. It’s a great location, lots of things to do and interesting places to visit within a few hours drive. Supermarkets and restaurants are 10 minutes drive away in Brionne. They also have a market there on Wednesdays and Sundays. We have all agreed that it is the best holiday we have ever been on and we can’t wait to come back next year.
