About this cottage rental
Housed in an old barn from the 15th century, very close to the castle of Verseilles, this completely renovated rural gite has retained its authenticity by combining the modern and the old. It is surrounded by a natural, flowery and pleasant garden, with a view of the hilly countryside, a pond for fishing ... Ground floor: Fitted kitchen, dining area, lounge, 1 bedroom (2 twin 80x200 beds or 1 single large bed, your choice), 1 bedroom (1 160x200 bed), shower room (shower), separate WC. Heating with fuel in winter (Price of fuel during the day, counting of the litter consumed by meter counter). Ideally located 5 minutes from Vichy, in the quiet of the countryside, and about 30 km from the Gorges de la Sioule, the Bourbonnaise Mountain, the Besbre Valley and its castles. On site, hiking, fishing, watching wild animals and of course the owners' swimming pool at Château de Verseilles, available according to hours. Close to Vichy for all sports and leisure (10km).

Exceptional location, wild and unspoiled nature. No pesticides or treatments because the Barn of Verseilles is surrounded by meadows in which cows graze their calves. No crops treated. The garden of the cottage is maintained "by hand", without any harmful products. The sheets are made of linen, a natural product. We are aware of the need to preserve our fantastic living environment!

Loys was there to greet us on arrival and made sure we had everything we needed and during our stay he joined us in a glass of wine and talked to us about places to visit and gave us 2 excellent restaurant recommendations.
The point to mention is the restricted use of the pool. It is mentioned in the small print at the bottom of the listing but we feel it should have been made more obvious. That said Loys did advise that as they were out we could have full use on a couple of days.
