An outstanding house with all the comfort and mod cons we needed for a relaxing holiday in Burgundy. The stylish property was extremely clean and well equipped in a quiet and beautiful location of the village of Boyer. Many of the faculties like the dish washer, washing machine, cooker etc were all new and we. had access to 3 showers and 3 toilets! Jacques, the host, and his family were warm and inviting and made us feel very welcome. They spoilt us with home made apple juice, cake and home grown vegetables. The location is fantastic and we were able to enjoy very easily the lovely historic towns of Tournus, Dijon, Cluny, Brancion and Autun. Furthermore some stunning walks are on the doorstep of the Gite which enabled us to really appreciate the Burgundy countryside. Fantastic house, host and location. Would totally recommend the place. (The beds were really comfortable too!)

We took advantage of the good situation of the house to explore the beautiful surrounding by foot and see all the culturally rich landmarks in the vicinity.
The children loved the garden and the nearby brooks to play at. The whole setting of this place is even more picturesque than you can see from the photos.
What's more, the owners of the place are the most friendly people you can imagine.

Wir wären wirklich gerne länger geblieben! Die Ankunft war herzlich und persönlich, uns erwarteten lokale Spezialitäten und auch zwischendurch bekamen wir kleine Leckereien.
Jacques fragte jeden Tag nach unserem Befinden und war auf eine unaufdringliche Art und Weise immer präsent bei Fragen. Die Kinder (2, 5 und 12) waren begeistert vom Spielangebot (viel Spielzeug im Haus für die Kleinen, eine Tischtennisplatte in der Scheune erfreute den Großen. Ein Spielhaus im Garten, ein Trettrecker etc., alles war da. Der Garten selbst ist sehr groß, jedoch wegen eines Baches und eines Brunnens nicht so kindersicher, dass kleine Kinder alleine dort spielen könnten. Aber im Urlaub hat man ja Zeit für die Kinder!
Im Haus war alles großzügig ausgestattet mit sehr guten technischen Geräten, viel Platz, geschmackvollen Möbeln und sehr bequemen Betten - mit französischer Bettdecke, Bettwäsche und Handtücher wurden gestellt, was in einem vollen Auto von großem Vorteil ist. Die Gegend ist kulturell und kulinarisch sooooo interessant, dass eine Woche niemals ausreicht! Weinberge, Klöster, Burgen, romanische Kirchen wohin das Auge reicht. Die Unterkunft ist für große Familien wie auch 3 Paare (3 separate Bäder) super geeignet und auch verkehrsgünstig gelegen. Die Autobahn verläuft in der Nähe, ist aber aus dem Haus und Garten nicht sichtbar, bei Wind aus der Richtung jedoch zu hören. Ich bin diesbezüglich sehr empfindlich, mich hat das aber gar nicht gestört!
Im Dorf selbst sind nur Wohnhäuser, Schule/ Rathaus und eine Kirche, aber das traumhafte Tournus ist nur einen Katzensprung entfernt und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten gibt es überall genug. Derjenige, der sich in den Bewertungen beschwert hat, dass es keinen Bäcker für die morgendlichen Brötchen gibt, hat erstens nicht beachtet, dass es morgens in Frankreich meistens sowieso keine Brötchen gibt ;-) und hat zweitens nicht den tollen Baguette-Service genutzt, den auch die Einheimischen zu schätzen wissen: Abends wird ein Schild mit der Anzahl der gewünschten Baguettes an die Pforte gehängt und morgens hat der Bäcker bis 8 Uhr die frischen authentischen Baguettes in den eigens dafür vorgesehenen und bestickten Stoffbeutel deponiert. Abgerechnet wird am Ende (zusammen mit der Heizung und eventueller Endreinigung) mit Jacques.
Uns fehlte nichts - außer noch mehr Zeit!

Nous avons été ravis de passer une petite semaine chez Jacques et Mitou, une maison encore mieux que sur les photos, un grand espace vert et de nombreux jouets pour les enfants, c'est très bien équipé également pour la cuisine et le reste. Jacques nous a aussi donné quelques conseils de balades, nous recommandons chaudement
