Annie welcomes you to a comfortable contemporary house nestled on the edge of a small, quiet, cul-de-sac, in a pleasant, preserved rural setting on the edge of bocage & meadows, a stone's throw from the Drée (and a ford) a bucolic, fish-filled river. Quiet residential area adjoining the center of the charming, typical & commercial village of Epinac (many amenities on site), a major mining town from the end of the 19th century (industrial site for the production of glass & coal) associated with one of the oldest railway lines in France (of which the station still exists). Now a "Green Station" (a benchmark ecotourism label for nature destinations), the town boasts a rich industrial heritage (a dedicated museum, the "Circuit des gueules noires" (Black Mouth Circuit) leading to the 10 largest old wells, numerous remains including the unmissable, perfectly preserved Hottinguer Well), a multi-activity leisure center, a landscaped fishing pond (with picnic areas by the water), numerous marked hiking trails (green walks), including a "nature trail" with a botanical path to discover the local flora and fauna, and enjoys a magnificent, unspoiled landscaped setting of gentle mountains alternating with lush greenery, rolling countryside, and vast wild forests.
