Our stay in Gigondas was just what we had hoped - a traditional French villa, with a pool, surrounded by vineyards. The weather was glorious, so the pool was well used, but we did get plenty of sightseeing in as well. There are countless beautiful villages and towns nearly. The village of Gigondas itself is very pretty but doesn’t have a boulangerie. The next village over (Sablet, 2kms away) does though - highly recommend a visit (or several!)

The location, surrounded by vineyards and with a view to the Dentelles is perfect. In the heat the pool is the perfect way to cool. The villa is a little old fashioned but that is part of it’s charm. We enjoyed a relaxing break and found most things we needed in the nearby villages of Gigondas and Sablet.
The only complaint is that the separate shower room and second toilet are both located off the heating boiler room and not therefore pleasant or convenient to access.
