About this villa rental
Situated in the upmarket area of LOS Rotes DENIA sleeps maximum 6 adults + 2 children - the villa sits at the beginning of Caretera DENIA de Javea - and sits proudly overlooking Mount Mongo Mountain - the Mountain Road winds through 9 kms of Mount Mongo National Park and links Denia to nearby Javea - Villa Gekko is in a convenient position with only a 5 minutes walk to the local Bus Stop which will take you to the centre of cosmopolitan Denia town and bustling Denia Port and also stops at DENIA Marina on the way into town so you can visit the this lovely area with its many varieties of restaurants and cocktail bars to sit and enjoy the amazing views overlooking the waterfront luxury yachts moored in the Marina and this is only a 25 minute walk from the villa along the promenade or a short bus ride away - Denia’s famous bustling tree lined Marquès de Campo
Is wonderful you can sit and have coffee and cake at one of the many cafe’s or relax with Tapas or alfresco lunch or dinner in the evenings and soak up the ambiance of a beautiful experience or stroll along with a choice of many boutique shops - the local indoor market where you can buy from the many vendors selling delicious Spanish hams cheeses vegetables bakery patisserie and more it’s certainly worth a visit - ……one of the many tapas has so much to offer that it is impossible to explore the whole area in one visit - resulting in many visitors returning to Denia many times

Les Rotes is the nicest part of Denia. (we stay in Denia regularly). The beach and restaurants are walkable. The area is somewhat upmarket (compared with the north side of Denia), leafy and close to beaches.
The pool is great and was well taken care of by the pool guy.
There’s plenty of space and loungers, cushions outside and room to easily park two cars.
The upstairs living space is great, bedrooms and bathrooms are at least adequate and the showers are seriously good.
All the doors and windows have effective bug screens
The utility room is a great bonus.
The poor internet connection was a constant problem and blighted our stay to a considerable extent. It appears to be a satellite system. Such systems are beset with latency issues. This is not a massive issue for internet browsing, email, social media etc. Generally is was in the 5-12 range which is OK. However, the latency means that your kids will most definitely not be able to play online games. There was a problem with dropouts that lasted for a minute or two every 5-10 minutes. So Netflix/BBC iPlayer/Amazon Prime etc are more or less inaccessible. This really needs to be resolved before one could fully recommend this property.
The barbecue is rather primitive.
The fridges were very poor, lacking upright bottle storage and the one never got really cold. Dishwasher was adequate, but hob and oven the cheapest possible quality.
Better quality kitchen and dining equipment would be appropriate.

Wonderful villa, gorgeous outdoor area and pool. Fantastic location for Denia and Xavia.
Comfy beds, plenty of bathrooms and good kitchen facilities.

We consider the pool wasn't easy to access for either lids or elderly.
Cutlery and glasses were dirty.
Wifi work very intermittently.
Gardeners came at lunch time (even if the check in information said to not make noise 13:30-16:30) when we left the house 11-12 as that is when they were due. Either way why cant those jobs be completed when house is empty on Saturdays?
