No Loadshedding/Blackouts at the Villa Tivoli. Uninterrupted Electricity and Wifi! Since December 2022 a powerful Battery/Inverter/Solar System makes your stay very convenient in those many occasions of Loadshedding/Blackouts.
My Villa Tivoli offers its guests a safe, comfortable, clean and relaxing home. A fast Fiber-WiFi is available as well.
The Villa Tivoli is surrounded by a wonderful garden in which a so-called rock pool is found in the middle for swimming and sunbathing. The house itself gives off a warm and comfortable character. Other than the often empty cement constructions, you should and can 'be' different here...
You will experience a lot of luxury in a special and individual way.
You will be surrounded by interesting sculptures, paintings and photographs. In the house and on the large partially covered terrace you will find a lot of cosy options for sitting and the nice kitchen landscape invites you to cook together.
Each room has well-kept beds, furniture and Artworks. In the spacious living room you can read, relax or enjoy your music through a great HiFi system.

The house was just as hoped for from the photographs on the site. The garden is lush and tropical and private. The surrounding area was very quiet and tranquil, yet one didnt feel overly remote. The house is set up from the main town but with a car it is only a few minutes to the excellent facilities available in the town centre. Fantastic coffee shop (Hout Bay Coffee), hats off to their Mega Moringa! All the other day to day shopping easily available. Also have the wonderful Marina area with craft market and restaurants. And PLEASE try the peri peri chicken livers at Chapmans Peak hotel.
The house was really welcoming, and so much more than just a rental. Loved it, and would happily return again.

Das Haus liegt wunderschön in einer ruhigen und sicheren Lage. Es gibt dort keinen Durchgangsverkehr was es wirklich ruhig macht. Es ist wirklich im Haus alles vorhanden und das Internet ist sehr gut und schnell.
Auf der Veranda kann man super die Sonne geniessen.
Alle Einkäufe kann man gleich um die Ecke erledigen.
Joachim ist ein klasse Gastgeber.
Wir waren dort zu fünft und alle waren happy.
Jederzeit wieder gerne.

Die Villa sieht genau aus, wie auf den Fotos, Haus und Pool sind sauber und gepflegt. Der Vermieter ist freundlich, hilfsbereit und unkompliziert - trotz unserer sehr späten Anreise hat er uns fröhlich empfangen und alles gezeigt/erklärt! Auch gute Tips zu Stränden/Einkaufsmöglichkeiten/Restaurants hatte er parat.
Einrichtung:
Küche, Wohnzimmer und Bäder sind gut ausgestattet, man findet alles was man braucht. Steckdosen und Verteilerstecker sind genug vorhanden, sogar eine Kabeltrommel für draußen. Die Soundanlagen im Haus sind klasse, insbesondere die weiße Box hat uns viel gute Musik am Pool beschert! Das ganze Haus ist innen und außen bequem und gemütlich eingerichtet, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.
Lage:
Die Villa ist zwar nicht zentral gelegen, aber das wussten wir ja vorher und wollten es auch so! Es ist dort ruhig und friedlich, mit einem Mietauto (oder Uber, das ist in Südafrika wirklich günstig) kommt man hervorragend in alle Richtungen - ein ausgezeichneter Ausgangspunkt für alle Ausflüge. Einige Male sind wir den Hügel auch zu Fuß hinunter spaziert, um in der näheren Umgebung essen zu gehen.
Winzige "Schönheitsfehler":
- Das WLAN könnte etwas besser/schneller sein, hat aber auch für 5 Leute reichen müssen
- Im Wohnzimmerbereich vorm großen Kamin gibt es nur sehr schwache Beleuchtung, wir haben zum Kartenspielen zusätzlich unsere Taschenlampen montiert
- Zweimal wurde der Strom in unserem Gebiet für einige Stunden ausgeschaltet (das wird wohl in Südafrika wegen Netzüberlastungen manchmal eingeplant), bei Reaktivierung ging die Alarmanlage los (nicht so laut, als dass es die Nachbarn geweckt hätte, aber wir haben's doch mitbekommen). Das hätte man zwar nicht verhindern können, aber eine kleine Vorwarnung wäre nett gewesen, daher: be warned! :D

Für Kleinkinder hin und wieder etwas tricky... Vor allem die Treppe zum Schlafzimmer in Obergeschoss. Allerdings kann man mit allem gut umgehen und es gibt ja auch 2 weitere Schlafzimmer im EG. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und konnten uns gut erholen. Joachim war jeder Zeit erreichbar und die Kommunikation und der Ablauf waren einfach und unkompliziert. Insgesamt ein schöner Urlaub mit traumhafter Location.
