About this farm stay rental
In an old farmhouse from 1897, stylishly renovated, we offer a large, 4-star DTV-classified apartment for a total of up to 10 people. The 4 bedrooms and the large kitchen with open fireplace and roof terrace all have space.
In addition, in our extension, the 'Atelier', we offer another 4 bedrooms, some with private bathrooms, for up to 8 people. There is also a smaller, shared fully equipped kitchen here.
From our quietly located house you have a wonderful view of the Swabian Jura and large orchards. The house is surrounded by terraces and a pergola. Tübingen with its historic old town and the university, which is over 500 years old, is only a few kilometers away. In a short time you can reach both Stuttgart (airport) and the beautiful landscape of the Swabian Jura.
The two parts of the house, the farmhouse and the studio, are directly connected to each other, but can also be used and booked separately. Price on request. Both units together are particularly suitable for family reunions. Also for short-term stays over the weekend or on public holidays.
In the village (Wankheim) there is a farmhouse barn that can be rented for large celebrations.
A farm shop, bakery and butcher are just a few minutes' walk away.
The name 'Atelier-Wittke' was chosen because the painter and sculptor Cornelius Wittke's studio is also located here. Original paintings hang in all rooms.
The studio extension was the owner's former sculptor's studio, which is why some of the large windows reached down to the floor.
The single rooms and the garden room can be reached practically barrier-free.
Stuttgart, the Swabian Jura, the Black Forest and Lake Constance (day trip) are easy to reach from Wankheim. Bebenhausen Monastery near Tübingen is located on the edge of the large Schönbuch nature reserve. Many castles and palaces (Hohenzollern) are worthwhile destinations. Tübingen itself, as an internationally known historical university town, could list many interesting things alone.
There are various museums, a large cinema program, theaters, sports facilities and countless cultural events. Tübingen has approximately 27,000 students.

Our family of 13 came from all over the US & stayed at this lovely home on Wankheim. We joined our family in Rottenberg . It was the perfect location & easy access to roads that took us all over Germany & into Austria. The house was clean & well stocked. We always struggle in Germany with how to manage trash but this is no fault of our hosts . For such a large group of people the home worked great . Sweet town with a bakery we walked to daily .

We were here for an extended family holiday and stayed for two weeks, using the guesthouse and the atelier. It was marvellous in every way. The hosts were fantastic, the house was so clean and set up with everything we needed, and Wankheim itself is a beautiful little village. We highly recommend the cafe at Landsgut Kemmler! Thank you to Anne and Cornelius for a lovely holiday.

Herr und Frau Wittke very friendly and receptive. Plenty of space, and all of the usual household stuff is provided - cutlery, linen, dishwashers, all of that. Nothing negative to say.
