Situated only 20 m from the beach of Gougins, this very comfortable vacation property will spoil you with a view of the sea and a very short distance to the nearest bathing opportunity. Only 1.3 km away, golfers will find their luck on the 18-hole Golf de la Presqu'île du Cotentin. This property is the ideal base for history buffs, who can experience the Norman landing beaches used by the Allies during World War II, such as Utah Beach and the beach at Sainte-Mère-Église. The charming fishing village of Barfleur also tells a bloody story with its famous naval battle. Cherbourg boasts a maritime museum and a harbor overlooking the popular artificial roadstead. On the other side of the peninsula, you can cross to the Anglo-Norman islands of Jersey and Guernesey.

Das Haus ist sehr großzügig geschnitten und bietet viel Platz. Die Möbel sind bequem und hervorzuheben sind die guten Matratzen, die man längst nicht in jedem Ferienhaus findet. Die Straße vor dem Haus ist wenig befahren (was ich vorher wusste) und auch die Kirchenglocken läuten nur sehr dezent und haben uns nicht gestört. Der Strand ist herrlich und im September nur wenig frequentiert. Wir haben viele sehr lange Strandspaziergänge mit Hund gemacht. Man kann am Meer entlang bis hinter Lestre und in die andere Richtung unbegrenzt laufen.
Der Garten ist sehr groß, was auf den Fotos nicht gut erkennbar ist. Man kann im hinteren Teil durchaus Federball spielen oder auch boulen.
Man muss sich nur darauf einstellen, dass man selbst alle Gewürze mitnehmen muss. Salz und Pfeffer sind nicht vorhanden. Auch Küchenkrepp und Geschirrspülmittel sollte man mitbringen.
Insgesamt ist das Haus auf jeden Fall sehr empfehlenswert, im Sommer nur leider für 2 Personen zu teuer, sonst hätte ich es wieder gebucht.

Logement propre et bien situé. On traverse la rue et la mer est là... malgré la route toute proche, logement au calme et reposant. A conseiller, notamment aux familles. Jardin agréable....

La maison est séparée de la plage par une petite route peu fréquentée.
Le rez-de-chaussée est complètement remis à neuf et les chambres rafraîchies.
La maison est dans un état de propreté impeccable et très confortable.
La propriétaire nous a gentillement accueillie et en a profité pour nous donner quelques bons conseils. Elle nous a également permis de décaler notre départ vu que la maison n'était pas louée après nous.
Rien à redire, un très bon rapport qualité prix pour huit personnes.
