To sum up the issues: For a hotel of this price, PLUS a $100 'destination fee' that promises us a food discount that never got applied, I would expect: - Reception who actually checks me in rather than scowl at me and continue with other tasks until someone on the World of Hyatt counter waves me over - a doorman/concierge who actually does something. A lady in a wheelchair couldn't get the automated door to fully work (accessibility issue in itself), my partner and I had to come rescue her while staff did nothing. This should NOT happen in a hotel like this. - Updated room service options and menus. The placard in our room let us ring room service, but we were told it hadn't been offered in a year and apparently housekeeping just hasn't gotten its act together. (Would however like to commend the waitresses at Andare, who were lovely!) - Amenities being provided. I had to come down and ask for a hairdryer, etc, because it just wasn't in the room. They somehow didn't believe me and even asked to check, and not a word of apology from the guy after verifying we didn't have the amenities. Worst of all, when I tried to access to resolve an issue, they kept immediately ending the chat as soon as it got to my turn. I finally wrote as my opener that i would report the next person who did that, and suddenly, my chat wasn't ended. Again, appalling. I get that this is likely a business hotel targeted towards the nearby Convention Center, but the price is obscene for what you get. I have stayed in Hyatts all over the world over the past decade and this is the worst one by far.
