Chalet "Arche", 2 storeys, built in 1976. 1 km from the centre of Wengen, in a quiet, sunny position. In the house: central heating system. Pre-arrival grocery service. Stepped path (60 steps) to the house. Shop 1 km, supermarket 1 km, restaurant 1 km, bar 1 km, bakery 1 km, 15 minute walk to the centre, bus stop "Lauterbrunnen (by train)" 4 km, railway station "Wengen" 1 km. Cable car 1 km, skisport facilities 1 km. Well-known lakes can easily be reached: Thunersee 13 km, Brienzersee 13 km. Please note: car-free holiday complex. Arrival via mountain railway. Arrival is only possible by train from Lauterbrunnen – 14 minutes driving time.

Top floor: 1 room with sloping ceilings with 2 beds (90 cm, length 200 cm). Balcony, terrace. Terrace furniture. Marvellous panoramic view of the mountains. Check in was easy, they worked with us on our late arrival. There are plenty of beds and showers, enough kitchen equipment to make meals. Picturesque setting, beautiful scenery. It was one of our favorite places! There are a few steps to get to and from location, so be mindful if walking is difficult for you. But it was an ideal spot for our big family.

Just a short walk from the centre of town in a lovely quiet spot looking across to lauterbrunnen valley. The chalet is a little dated, the kitchen is very well stocked with pots, pans, utensils, the only thing i would say is the kitchen could do with a few decent knives for food prep. The description for the chalet says 3 bathrooms with no mention on layout, 2 are actually en suite to the two bedrooms on the middle floor, the other on the ground floor next to the downstairs bedroom. We had a great time in Wengen and at this lovely home. The views and home layout were wonderful.
Our extended family of 7 would likely come again - only issues were distance to town including a lot of stairs down from the road to the home (also very difficult even with directions to find) and issues with the toilets (Inter Home was quick to have a handy man come out twice to work on it), but in our opinion for the price point the owner should replace the toilets and upgrade the kitchen.
