What a little honey... they don’t make them like this anymore! Mabel has been round a bit and can tell a few stories! Recently updated and beautifully furnished she is ready to start her next era – come and be part of that! She has 2 double bedrooms, 1 bathroom and 2 toilets.
Mabel may look small but she’s actually surprisingly roomy and airy. You’ll delight in the stunning views from every window, and she’s literally just 7 paces from back door to water’s edge!
This charming cottage provides you with a very comfortable and stylish base to explore our wonderful area. No matter what the weather you’ll luxuriate in Mabel’s ambience and space. At almost 150 years old she is well versed at having people stay and it shows. Mabel’s of Mill Bay is definitely worth a visit.
Special conditions:
Rates are for 2 people and include linen and towels. Extra people are charged at $20 per person per night.
If you stay includes a public holiday then please ask for a quote as rates vary.
Pets are welcome but please advise prior to arriving
Extras: Linen (included); NOTE: Under Kiwi bach tradition you are expected to: Clean the house and do the dishes before you leave;

Gorgeous historic place. We’ve been warmed welcomed by Richard who gave as instructions and good recommendations about the region. Definitely we recommend for everyone who wants to have a peaceful experience.

Mabel as described, cute and quirky due to her age that made us smile. The host excellent with comm"s and generous with supplies along with a couple of treats. Location was key to our plans with bonus of fishing right outside the door!.

Mabels is one of the best Bach’s we’ve ever stayed at. On arrival we were greeted by wine and delicious fresh bread. The house itself is perfectly appointed with everything you need for a comfortable stay and then there is the view... uninterrupted water views. Perfection. It’s also a short walk to the famous fish shop, and if you’re lucky you’ll spy orca in the harbour like we did. Thanks so much Richard for this amazing property, we will be back.
