In the CALM, enjoy the 300m2 SWIMMING POOL, in a VAST GARDEN 3100m2 with the possibility of having lunch by the water under the PAVILLION with table and BARBECUE.
On the heights of the ancient city of Rethymno, in olive trees, this residence was BUILT BY and FOR NORWEGIANS with noble materials: CARVED STONES, MARBLE. Its particularity is CALM and SPACE.
IDEALLY SITUATED for discovering the most beautiful coasts: north west and south west, at 500m from the charming village of PIGI (grocery, bakery, local small restaurant, bus...), at 2.5 km from sand beach and 5km from the antique RETHIMNON.
The flat : 3rooms, 75m2, is on the same level as the garden. There is one room with a king size bed and another room with 2 single beds, a marble bathroom and a living room/kitchen with MARBLE on the floor.
It has 2 terrasses, one facing the west with a PRIVATE GARDEN , perfect to have lunch, one looking out over the olive trees.

We had a great time and the pool was fantastic. Pigi Paradise is a safe family environment, set in beautiful hills and traditional villages. The village Pigi is very friendly and we ate out a lot in the local taverns, very tasty and prices were very reasonable (also the village Loutra was great for food). Both villages are in walking distance.
The location is quiet and if you want to go somewhere, a car is very helpful. But also here we got a very good recommendation from the owner Catherine and after our arrival at Heraklion we went to the car park at the airport and got our car. Even though Pigi Paradise is such a nice quiet place the nearby beaches were easily to reach and were really lovely (approx. 10-15-min drive by car). We also went to the south coast and visit the beaches there, which was also great (a bit more than a one hour drive by car).
The house was clean, functional and comfortable. However, it was a bit pity that the rooms (probably from a water damage ?!) were a bit damp and therefore it smelled a bit when entering the apartment. Ventilation and the use of air conditioning brought improvement.
The washing machine in the bathroom was perfect for us and we learned that this will be a must for us in the future.
Even though Catherine is not directly on site of Pigi Paradise one could reach her via phone at any time. We received all instructions how to get to the accommodation and how to get the keys clearly described in advance.

We really appreciated the flat very convenient and big enough to live with comfort
Located not far from the sea, this permits to live quietly and to go to the rush and to the sea in 5 minutes if necessary
The neighbours are nice and quiet, the swimming pool is big.
Tavernas in the arounds are good and cheap, people welcome you like your MAM we appreciated this Mrs Mercier's flat.

We spent fantastic two weeks in Pigi. The apartment was big enough for our family of four and in reality was even better than what you can see in the pictures. The swimming pool is really good, it was clean with deck chairs and never crowded. The best thing about having the pool was that everyday we went to a different beach because we didn't have one in the village. This kept us active and we knew that each morning and evening we can swim in the pool. And all the trips were worth having. The owner, Catherine, provided us with a list of best destinations (beaches, monasteries, restaurants, etc) and all her suggestions were spot on. When going to Balos Lagoon take the smaller ship, the big one takes about a thousand people and the smaller one just a fraction of this. The big crowd from the big ship arrives at Balos about 30 minutes before the smaller one departs and the people from the big one have problems with finding space for themselves. Highly recommended, but you need a car.
