House of character, 5 minutes from Omaha beach
Detached house renovated in a farmhouse typical Bessin. We chose to keep a countryside spirit at this old farmhouse that does not deny its past. It is a comfortable, authentic house with a rustic character. It has been converted into a country style with antique family furniture, purchased in the auction room or flea market.
This house is attached to an unoccupied building, close to our home and another cottage.
You have :
-R-d-c: kitchen, living room with fireplace, armchairs and sofa, wc.
-Stand: 2 bedrooms (1 double bed 140x200, 2 single beds 90x190) with shower and sink in each room.
Electric heating. LL. LV. TV. DVD.
- Common that can be closed.
-Barbecue available.
-Parking 1 car
This house is particularly spacious and pleasant. You will appreciate the calm of the site, the proximity of the big beaches of St Laurent, the sites of the Débarquement (of Ste Mère Eglise in Arromanches).
Sea less than 5 km (supervised beach).
Hiking trails on site.

We really enjoyed our stay and Valerie and Philipe were very helpful indeed. The property is old and quirky but spacious and comfortable. Also it’s well equipped. There was nothing but French tv available and the only toilet is downstairs whilst the bedrooms are upstairs. It’s a bit remote but that is part of its charm. Beautiful countryside and peace and quiet. Very near to the fabulous beaches in the area too. All in all, very enjoyable.

This property is located in the beautiful
Normandy countryside, conveniently close to the village of Port en Bessin where you’ll find groceries and casual dining. Our hosts were friendly and informative about the area, including the D-Day beaches which are only a few km away. The house is cozy, rustic and comfortable with a great full kitchen if you decide to do some cooking. All I’m all a very pleasant stay. Our only regret was that we didn’t book this for longer.
