I appreciate that we were allowed to leave our bags early and wonder if that may have thrown off the cleaning staff...I think the little bathroom on the main floor was not cleaned fully. This property is starting to show some age and I believe, renovations have been undertaken for part of it already. If you're looking for a new place, this may not suit your taste.

Perfect quiet place after a flight from Australia and on our way south
Tricky to drive to in the dark. However google maps and great directions from owner made up for that

It was quiet, comfortable and relaxing. A good location for access to Auckland with easy access to all road links.
The restaurant was unfortunately closed for a private function so we had only limited options from the bar menu. The kitchen facilities and breakfast options were absolutely fine.

Plenty of parking for truck and trailer
Bar and restaurant were closed. Would be good to be more transparent whit opening day! We had 2 rooms neither of us got any sleep as both room were full of mosquitoes. both rooms very poor standard compared to the room pics on the advert. (Cheep backpacker standard at best) Rest of living areas very nice
