About this villa rental
This fully renovated estate consists of a main building with 10 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms, 2 living rooms, a multimedia room with satellite TV, internet and a big kitchen/dining room (11m x 4 m), wine cellar, separate pizza house with stone oven, a large gated heated pool (15m x 8m) with sun terrace and a private tennis court.
On the ground floor we recently added a large conference room of 12 x 6 meters making this an ideal venue also for meetings, conferences, tutorials and retreats. It easily seats 25 people and has a separate kitchen and toilet facilities. There is a large screen for presentation purposes. You can move the tables and chairs to the side creating a large, open space for a host of different possibilities including yoga classes, (theatre) rehearsals, etc.
The house is surrounded by a garden with old oak and fruit trees and a shaded lawn. The 1st floor consists of a large kitchen, living room with bar, TV, fast internet, a bathroom with double showers, 2 toilets. A wide oak staircase leads to the 2nd floor with a lovely living room with fireplace, 5 bedrooms, 2 with private bath rooms. 2 rooms with 2 single beds, 3 rooms with double beds and a shared bathroom and separate toilet. The 3rd floor has 5 bedrooms with double beds (1 with private bathroom) and a shared bathroom for the other rooms. The property consists of 80,000 m2 of woods and fields with stunning views of the surroundings.
The house comes with a newly built heated swimming pool and well-maintained clay tennis court. Directly next to the main building there is a heated swimming pool (15 x 8 meters) with salinated water (must nicer than chlorinated water!). Here you have sun all day. There are plenty of reclining chairs to lie in the sun as well as an outdoor shower. The pool is fully gated so there is no need to worry about young kids. Directly in front of the main building there is a private clay tennis court. It has lighting if you want to play in the evening. In the back garden there is a pleasant shaded area with large oak trees and a lawn. Here you'll also find a separate building with a large, wood-burning, stone-floor pizza oven to make your own pizzas. There is also a regular gas-fired barbeque. A protruding roof around part of the main house offers a pleasant shaded area overlooking the pool with a large table and seating accomodation for breakfast, lunch or dinner outdoors.
The surroundings: Cairo Montenotte is a charming medieval town with 14,000 residents and is a mere 5 minutes drive from the estate. Here you'll find all you need in terms of grocery stores, small shops, restaurants, supermarkets and cafes to have a leisurely cup of espresso or cappuccino. Near the house there is a hospital with a first aid services. The Mediterranean coast is only a 24 kilometers drive. You can take the motorway or the ancient Via Aurelia which winds down the hills offering spectacular views. In Savona you'll find public beaches and beaches where you pay for a reclining chair and changing facilities, a marina, fashionable shopping, restaurants and night life. From Savona you can go along the Mediterranean coast in either direction (called the flower Riviera) where you'll find delightful sea side villages and beaches. Within an hour's drive there are two towns well worth a visit: Genova and Torino. Genova is an ancient port with palaces converted to museums and the university town of Torino has a beautiful historic centre.

We were 16 people, 4 families, each with two kids, 7 to 12 years. We had a marvelous time. Plenty of room, the view is amazing, the pool is huge. We hope to come back soon!

A great house with lot of space and nice areas to hang with friends and family. We stayed 12 people in the house for two weeks during Juli-22.
Pros: Well-equipped kitchen with 3 refrigerators, wine-cooler, generous workspace where you can cook together without feeling crowded, nice poolarea with a generous amount of sun-beds, spacious clean house, house layout great for a lot of people and bedrooms well situated separated from kitchen and ground-floor.
Convenient with garbage emptied at the house every day. Very nice covered patio next to poolarea.
Good to have car because no shops or restaurants within walking distance.
Cons: described as a property with 80.000m2 land which gives an impression of private and quit surroundings. Although this is not the whole picture, there are two small farms close to the house where tractors and other machines equivalent with farming running through early mornings and late evenings and dogs barking during night time. This wouldn’t be a problem if you could sleep with closed windows but without air-con or ventilation its hard because of the heat.
