The place was beautiful. The host was amazing the neighborhood was the safest we had encountered in all our Mexico trips. Plenty of fans to keep you cool at night. Felt very safe the whole time and our host was very cute yogi lady who made us feel welcome. My gf said she wants to come back. She said that multiple times per day. Waves aren’t the best for surfing but perfect for boogie boarding (property has 2) was such a great find.thanks for having us.

We had the perfect stay at Casa Firefly. We did not want to leave. The pool is where we stayed most of the time. The grounds were impeccable. The location was perfect for walking to town, breakfast and dinners. The staff…so lovely.

I loved the hut, very comfortable, fan, hot water if you let it run for a bit, outdoor kitchen was fun. The Round man who manages the property iwas very helpful and takes care of the beautiful grounds and pool. I had a view of the ocean from my hut, loud crashing waves, I loved it.
Unfortunately on the 3rd night a group of 8 or so people, no social distancing, etc arrived and staying in the house in front. The group loudly partied until after 1 am in the pool in front. I was so disappointed, other vacation rentals are banning parties at this time, I chose to leave for comfort and safety I coun/ld no longe enjoy the beach view from my hut and would have to walk through these unmasked people if going to th beach. I asked for my last nights refund but never heard back from the owners.

We were looking for a place in Troncones not far from Casa Viva, where our family was staying & Casa Luciernaga (Firefly) exceeded our expectations. Leela is a charming host & her property is gorgeous. We were in the north bungalow & there was a lovely couple in the south bungalow our first night/morning there. We shared kitchen space but had our own refrigerator & cabinet for our supplies.
We particularly enjoyed the unique-shaped pool, which worked well for lap swimming. This is not a common trait among Troncones pools. There were also comfy pool floats available to use in the deep end. We were there three nights, and were the only people using the pool the whole time (that we saw). We wished we could have stayed a fourth night, but the whole place was booked for Saturday night. Leela recommended a hotel down the road that worked well for us.
Cecilia & Efran take great care of the property & made sure our water cooler was full. We felt terrible Sunday morning when we realized we forgot to leave tips for them, but we walked back and left it with a note.
Leela's three doggies are friendly and well-behaved. It was fun seeing them running around on the beach first thing in the morning.
The yoga platform overlooking the ocean is a lovely touch. My boyfriend made good use of it for his morning exercises & I enjoyed the hammocks hung up there a few times.
The ocean right in front of the property is perfect for swimming, so much so that some of my family members came from Casa Viva to visit and boogie board with us, using some of the property's many boards. We couldn't keep a few of the kids out of the pool, it was too tempting to them, and since we were the only guests there, it didn't seem to be an issue. They didn't use it for long, but loved the rafts. My aunt & my mom were very impressed when they stopped by for a visit.
The property is situated close enough to the 'main drag' of town to be able to walk there for supplies, or to get a taxi or rent bikes if you're going further.
