The property was very comfortable and very clean. Great location for Malahide and lovely garden centre around the corner. Enjoyed my stay very much.
There wasn’t anything I didn’t like. One or two things that could be changed are the control of the heating. It was a very cold weekend and was not able to fully control heating without contacting owner. Terrestrial tv would also be good, rather than having to think of something to watch. But these didn’t hinder our wonderful stay.

The location was lovely, on the outskirts of Dublin, within walking distance of Malahide Castle, and with an expansive park and village nearby.
.This was not the fault of the property owner. We were unfamiliar with using GPS coordinates (our navigation system wasn't working properly, anyway) and our international cell coverage hadn't kicked in yet so we drove around the town for 2 hours before a Good Samaritan came to our rescue and called the owner for us. The low sign on the wall with an arrow to Bodenlodge was angled in such a way as to not be visible coming from the castle direction. In the other direction, where we might expect a street sign on a post, there was just a nursing home name.
We were just unfamiliar and unprepared.

15 min walk into Malahide, very well equipped dwelling, everything you need in a nice little house. The only minor gripe was that the TV was very glitchy but could stream Netflix to it.

The lodge is in a decent location in the outskirts of Dublin where it is quiet and peaceful.
Clean
The following are suggestions to the owners, although when attempting to share them with the landlord he was very quick to reject any of them. Therefore, you will have to decide if you want to rent the place.
1. They requested my credit card details for any damages but didn't bother to meet us there and let us know about a few broken things that there were in the lodge. How would I know they were not going to charge us for them at the end. His reaction was very rude when pointed them out when he eventually came by.
2. The pictures are deceiving as it is located a few feet from their house and it feels a bit awkward. You cannot open the blinds as they are driving by sometimes and... What nice pictures you see of a park are close by not your view.
3. The staircase to the bedroom is so narrow and dangerous, they even show you a picture of how you should claim the stairs by holding both sides at the same time. Providing you call them to take your luggage upstairs or a tea. Crazy
4. The heating is controlled by them from their house. Asked to put it up a bit and was ignored.
5. They don't mention anywhere that you should come with your own milk, salt, pepper, oil, vinegar or paper towels before you get there if you feel like having anything that evening. The local shop they advertise is three times more expensive than Lidl which is 10 min away by car.
6. The living room couch is extremely unconfortable and very far from the tiny TV.
7. There is a sign in the bedroom which let you know that you might end up in a hospital if you get up too quickly from the bed in the night. I was very careful and still done it a couple of times.
8. 6 o'clock in the morning you start hearing the loud engines of every airplane which takes off the busy airport of Dublin.
In other words I don't understand how did they get such good reviews. Well...
I apologise if I sound very negative but we felt overwhelmed by these negatives. I hope that you won't.
