    The room itself is small and warm but with a very noisy macerator, be prepared if someone goes in the night! unfortunately the staff are not well trained and no one seems to be in charge. we arrived on time but the room key was lost and we didn't get a replacement unit 7pm that day, no towels in the room and we didn't get any unit 11pm and then no hand towels or bath mat (the hand basin is V.small and floor gets very wet. There was no juice in the room as stated, and no pre order breakfast slips which then lead to another farce trying to order breakfast (which is served off site at another pub for a hot breakfast) overall very unimpressed with the running of the inn.

    I needed a place to stay for one night at shirt notice. The White Bear was comfortable and clean, with no frills. Breakfast in a sister pub was included in the price I paid. I would happily stay again if I needed a basic place to sleep that was reasonably cheap.

    Very noisy room right on the main road with big wagons coming straight towards us and down side of the pub, the plumbing was the loudest I’ve heard when you flush the loo or turned taps on but the upside was the very comfy beds just a shame it was too noisy to sleep
