For us it was a very lovely 1 night stay en route to a North Wales' week's holiday. We liked it so much we booked again for our return journey.
A very beautiful location, lovely staff, and exceptionally good food.
Downsides were:- darkish and hot room (but we did have a discounted one), and high prices for house wines.

We stayed for one night - bed breakfast and dinner - en route to a north Wales holiday, and liked it so much we booked again for our return journey.
The highlight is the food, which was very good. The environment of the restaurant and bar is relaxing and stylish with some interesting paintings and drawings throughout. Very good, relaxed - formal if you need, or friendly if you wish - staff.
The position is beautiful, on the river Usk, where a good continental breakfast is served overlooking the river.
Downsides are: 1. a bit dark and hot room (although we did have a discounted room), and 2. disappointingly high prices for average house wines.

Stayed at the Newbridge on Usk for a Dad/Son fishing trip. The rooms were extremely comfortable and well stocked. The staff was amazing and very friendly. The food was amazing - my son now wants a 3 course meal at every sitting now - you spoiled him! Thank you for a wonderful stay...we will definitely be coming back.
