Clean, functional rooms, comfortable bed and good shower. Staff very helpful, good location for work in the local area. One downside, I was told the food is very good here, however, the hygiene rating is only 1 out of 5 which put me off trying it.

The Bessemer is a generally okay hotel. Some issues stop me from being able to recommend it. Its located rather out of the way in a housing estate, although it was quiet and with nice mountain views. The room (211) was large and well organised, but the carpet was rather dirty. Large well appointed bathroom but, the biggest issue was that out if our two night stay, we only had hot water on the Saturday morning. Friday night, Saturday night and Sunday morning, stone cold. Could not bathe or shower and had to shave using water boiled with the kettle. I did bring this up on the Saturday night with staff, who assured me it was just the boiler being strange, but the situation never resolved. Can't really recommend a hotel that doesn't have Victorian levels of facilities!
