The pub and grub are great, the rooms were very warm and cosy.
The help yourself continental breakfast was a really nice idea but a bit of a pain if you wanted to make tea in your pyjamas!
The only down side was noise. The workmen started drilling first thing and the extractor fan for the restaurant was really loud but stopped when the pub shut

The Kings Arms is well located in the town of Eccleshall being close to the centre of town which makes it easy to explore the area and great value for money
The room I had was very clean with good facilities and the staff were very helpful and friendly
If you’re looking for a place to stay in the area definitely give The Kings Arms a go

We were travelling from the North to Folkestone. We were looking for a stop halfway, and chanced on the Kings Arms. Everything was exactly what we needed to recharge us. We had a nice dinner and a lovely walk around the beautiful village. Breakfast was a help yourself arrangement which suited us well. The complimentary snacks and drinks in the room was a lovely touch.

Booked blind, I stayed there 30 years ago. 30 years later oh dear what a dump, after 20 minutes left and went to another Hotel. Bedroom as no window, a small communal area at the top of the landing has a jug of milk and a packet of weetabix (best before June 25) no hot breakfast. Dirty walls, carpets etc. Disaster.
