I arrived at 7pm, the reception has closed although it was stated to be closed at 8pm. I cannot get the room key. I called emergency number, but nobody answered. There is notice on the door stated my booking company should send me key code to get the key. I called Agoda many times, agoda cannot help me to solve the problem and also not allow me cancel the booking. In the end I got my key code via email at 10:00pm. Spend so much time to get the key and waste my money for international call.

Location is great, located just 7min walk to the main train station. Edika is just around the Conner. The room was fair equipped and convenient enough for a couple of nights.

The room was excellent! Very clean and power points/lamps where they would be wanted. The kitchen was exceptionally clean. Often we haven’t felt comfortable to use the kitchen in hostels but this one was great! It was a little noisy in the evening as the corridor leading to the rooms echos a lot and people were sometimes talking loudly. Nothing a bit of white noise can’t fix.

Booked the Gastehaus for my son who is in Freiburg for further studies as interim accomodation till he could find a permanent place. For the price, the room was spacious and really clean.
