Clean and presentable very friendly and very helpful staff. Very old property so obviously limited comfort options. Stairs and numerus doors to cope with. Excellent location for visiting Hay-on-Wye and locality. Will visit again..

Whilst the accommodation was adequate the whole place was fairly gloomy and the breakfast room was stark and characterless. Background music would have been nice to break the silence of a bleak B&B. The breakfast had been rated as exceptional by many but the table offering juices and cereals was a sad affair. Crumpled clingfilm over the juice jugs was very unattractive. So too over the slices of melon. Very little was offered in the way of fresh fruit and the whole table looked sad and dated. The service was slow and the breakfast was very ordinary and not what we expected on the back of the reviews. The bedroom was cold and we were unable to turn the heating up on the radiator. The duvet was too small for the bed and was uncomfortable for two people to sleep in. The whole place felt drab and uninspiring. I would not recommend and wouldn’t return unfortunately. Good location however and parking at the rear of the property was appreciated.

Great place. We stayed in the room attached to the pool which was great but can get hot. Fantastic location and breakfast too!
