So I’m unsure where to begin. But the hotel is not good. Definitely don’t eat there (see Google reviews). Focusing on the room first, the room was mispainted, the shower blocked, the room was dirty, and we specifically asked for a room close to the ground as I’m disabled. Instead we were out in the top floor with the worst most rickety staircase. The hotel has potential, the problem is the bad shortcuts and half arsed finishing and cleaning. The shower had blocks, there was no toilet brush, also the shower has no where to keep soaps / gels when showering which again shows no thought for disabled customers. The shower mixer has massive gaps in the tiles, as does the rain fall shower head. There’s also no extractor fan in the bathroom (pretty sure that’s a requirement). The icing on the bathroom cake was the lack of cleaning and the red mildew / mould. Next the bed. A queen bed on a divan with a massive mid gap because the queen bed mattress doesn’t fit the frame. Then we have the issues with painting, decorating, electrical, and cleanliness. A lot of the walls were not fully painted, or would be painted and sometimes patches of areas where they had painted the wrong colour or had just missed painting altogether. There was also clear electrical shortcuts taken with the spotlights above the bed. Rather than cutting into the ceiling and wiring the spotlights above the bed into the ceiling… they had created a badly painted wood structure over the bed to house the lights instead. This structure was ply wood box that floats over the bed, with patchy single coat of white paint. Next is the cleanliness. Red mould, cob webs the size of carvery plates, need I say more? I could keep going on this and the hotel and staff but I think what I’ve wrote gets the general message across. Next is the parking. Thank god I have a blue badge! It’s bandit country for parking on the street. There’s no parking for customers and overall it wasn’t a great experience. It wouldn’t have been as bad and I wouldn’t have been as irate if the empty hotel had just put us on a lower floor. But the insult to injury was one of the Indian staff members wouldn’t shift his backside on the stairs to let me get past because he was too busy trying to flirt at my partner. And as for food, there’s a reason the place has a 2.5 star Google review for food. Just don’t bother.

3stars is being generous... with investment could easily reach 4star status, first thing would be to change the awful door locks and the signage. Bed passable, had to fix the cistern myself but didn't stretch to fixing the broken window. Location deserves better standard
