I booked and paid for a Superior Room at Scandic Nørreport through Agoda, but upon arrival we were placed in a standard room. When I raised the issue, the hotel management showed a reservation printout from *** (apparently Agoda processed the booking through ***) and refused to change the room, even though superior rooms were clearly available.
Agoda customer service eventually acknowledged that this was clearly a miscommunication between booking platforms, but resolving the issue took two days, which meant most of our stay had already passed before anything was addressed.
At the very end of the trip, the hotel finally offered what they called a “superior” room — but only after doubling the price for the so-called upgrade, once they learned Agoda would compensate the difference. Even then, the room we were given was nothing like the photos advertised.
In fact, it had fewer windows and less storage space than the original standard room. The only noticeable differences were a bathtub and a water kettle, which hardly justifies the “superior” label.
Overall, this experience reflects poor hotel management and a complete lack of willingness to resolve a clear booking problem. The location of the hotel is convenient, but based on this experience I cannot recommend staying here. It was easily one of the worst hotel experiences I have had.

Absolutely love the hotel, the food, the staff. We're still trying to figure out the city but staff is really helpful. Excellent place to stay!!!

I wanted to book an extra night and was told to go to the website despite being at the desk. The website then glitched and booked the wrong dates. The receptionist said she could sort it for a small administration fee,, but only later did I realise she had charged me for a whole extra night! Felt totally ripped off and contacted the hotel two days ago and haven’t received a reply. Nice hotel, good location, very poor service.
