Hotel is ok if you just want a bed to sleep in if passing through walsall. Basic but worth the money you pay.

We booked to stay one night to cutca long journey in half. I wish we had just driven the whole way.
Where do I start?
It looks like it hasn't been decorated since the 1970s. The carpets are old and grimey. The lift doesn't work.
The room.... The bathroom door was so swollen you couldnt shut the door.
The sink top was grotty and damaged. The bedroom window frame was moldy and black. One of the towels had yellow and red stains on it. The tv didn't work it just kept going pixilated and freezing.
To be fair the bed was clean, the bath and toilet were clean.
On booking in they demanded to see my driving licence and photocopy it and take my signature even though I had pre booked and paid for the room.
I know it was quite cheap for the night but even so you expect a basic standard to be met.
Genuinely this was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in.
Would we ever stay in a Metro inns hotel again?
NOT A CHANCE!!
