    Located on the edge of the abbey and church. Views to the castle. Parking in the grounds. We arrived early morning and they allowed us into our room early as it was ready. A wonderful relaxing stay with a good breakfast and evening meal.

    Of course I realise that I do not know if it is just that it is very expensive to run a hotel on lindisfarne or because of a lack of competition but I paid £172 for a twin room that was really a single room with two single beds with no headboards, and no wardrobe just crammed in. The bathroom is across the hall and is marked as private but it is still an entirely different room. The staff were excellent, the breakfast ordered from the kitchen was excellent but the price is ridiculous and not at all worth it. I have no idea what the double rooms are like but they were closer to £190 and if they are anything like the twin they are a rip off too. The location is superb. Such a mixed experience but the pricing is far too high.

    Fantastic stay, from the minute we walked through the door and met Danielle and Richard we have nothing but good things to say. Great accommodation, great meals(exceptional breakfast), great service. Jess looked after us in the evening sorting our meals and drinks. We were in good company, and no better place to make new friends than sat on the comfy sofas having a pint after a day or morning walking and looking for cuddy stones.

    Lovely staff trying to make a down at heel establishment work. Avoid room 1 at all cost. Tiny. Shower cubicle smaller than in an average sized camper van. No sleep as fans from the kitchen blasting out all night. And incredibly overpriced
