    Stayed in a standard double for one night with my daughter, attending a university event. Perfect location and beautiful hotel, excellent staff and the room was comfortable, spotless and quiet. We didn't spend much time in the room and didn't use the restaurant but would stay again. Edinburgh is a walkable city and being only 5 minutes walk from Waverley Station and Princes Street and only a 20 minutes walk to the Univerisity and the delightful Grassmarket area made the hotel ideally situated. The Scots Monument is a stone throws and visible from the hotel. Great restaurants and bars all within 5 minutes walk, including Cafe Royal and the Voodoo Rooms to name but a few.

    Very central hotel, spotlessly clean. Very different decor from usual city centre hotels. Staff were exceptionally friendly and made us feel so welcome.
