    Staff are friendly and can't do enough for you. Ample parking. Good transport links to the city centre. We really enjoyed our stay.

    If you are looking for somewhere more affordable than the city centre and willing to drive or use mass transit, the Leonardo Hotel Edinburgh Murrayfield offers good value for the money. The stay is clean and comfortable with a very friendly staff. There is a restaurant/bar on site and some some additional comforts you won't find in a lot of other similarly-priced hotels. I extended my stay a couple of days instead of transferring to somewhere in the city centre since I was comfortable here. It's also not far from the airport, which I can get to by bus from a bus stop about 150m from the hotel.

    We had a 3 night stay, quiet location in a residential area close to a bus stop with direct route to the city. The room was in quiet part of hotel, we arrived on Friday around 3.30pm, there was dirty glasses and plates on the floor of the corridor outside our room. After breakfast on Saturday we went out for the day, we returned on Saturday night and saw the dishes were still on the floor, we got to our door to discover it was open, we believe left open by housekeeping, thankfully nothing was taken, but we concerned that this could happen, anyone can walk in off the street and go to the rooms, there is no security. I emailed the hotel about our concerns re security and hygiene issues in regard to the open door and dirty dishes. I got no response. Housekeeping overall was poor, our bed was not made, not left enough towels, clean towels for the rooms were left sitting on the corridor floors in the morning. The dirty dishes on the floor were finally removed on Sunday morning. Breakfast was below average, not much choice, greasy hot food, underdone pastries, orange juice dispenser not working, staff seemed under pressure especially on Sunday morning.
