The room was bigger then most in Paris and it was clean. The staff was kind and helpful. The location was great, close to metro station, close to restaurants and shopping street, and easy public transport to monuments.

Primarily I booked this hotel to be near the Edam language school in Bastille. I walked to school for my week of lessons.
The daily cleaning staff was meticulous. The front desk staff cordial but the wash basin faucet in bathroom that I reported as being loose was never fixed.
Walls are thin so noise from other units sometimes was audible. Street noise at night also could be raucous. Breakfast wasn’t included for me so I paid the extra $20 once and found it to be sufficient but not above.
I was comfortable, felt safe, and used the gym once.
On American standards wouldn’t personally rate this hotel as a 4star.

Don't be fooled by its 4 stars rating. This hotel is starting to show its age. From the spotty carpet, the TV with dead pixel, the broken or worned bits and bobs this hotel did not reach my expectation for the rating it has. I would recommend this hotel only if this location is particularly important to you and if you can get a three stars hotel price.
