Hotel location is very close to subway station, and there is a supermarket nearby.
There’s no lift, which is pretty typical for Paris flats, but once you reach the room it’s clean and cozy. You can even hear church bells sometimes, which is quite lovely.

I loved my room at Le Grand Albert 1er. It was clean, comfortable, and quiet. I had a lovely view into the courtyard. At night there was a beautifully lit spire. The room is compact - perfect for a solo traveler or a couple with limited luggage. When I first walked in there was a nice lemon smell that proved it had been cleaned well. The bed was super comfortable - I had my best sleep after a month of travel!
After reading other reviews that had said no elevator (which is common in France and should be expected) I requested a low floor. Nevertheless I was put on the top floor (4). This is not a complaint, the room was with the walk up. However, I did have to take breaks walking my suitcase up, and I am a relatively light packer. If you really can't manage stairs this could be a problem. If you are willing to climb stairs then I highly recommend this hotel!
Staff were friendly. Front desk spoke English. The neighborhood is nice. Just across river is a wonderful bakery in St Maurice neighborhood. This hotel is not in a tourist area, it is in a Parisian neighborhood, I like that.
I will definitely stay here again when I return to Paris.

It’s nice and safe place to stay in Paris. Metro station is very near. Staff members are polite and helpful. Only request would be an elevator for easier access. Would definitely consider the same hotel in future.
