A nice period hotel. It is a bit dated though but clean and nice bar area.
Would be nice if had gym facilities but that’s not unusual in this area.
One aspect I would change - you have to agree a time slot for breakfast. Thus was introduced for Covid and whilst I appreciate it makes the kitchen staff and waiting staff easier it means that the guest is stuck to a rigid breakfast time. On a night away I’d like to be up when I wake up and have breakfast when I choose the next day, not when I check in. Good breakfast menu but did take 30mins from ordering full breakfast to receiving it and it was well done. I will no doubt return due to location but allowing guests to be more flexible would make it a more enjoyable experience.

Hardly a castle, but a stately ancestral home. A little remote in location but offered a haven of tranquility after a day of travelling.
