    Most people would be leery of hotel websites that trumpet the qualities of their establishments. However, what you see in Le Relais Madeleine’s website is exactly why you’ll get. When I entered my room after getting in past midnight, my spirits were lifted by the coziness and simple beauty of its decor. The lighting was especially noteworthy. It’s a clean, well lighted place with a very comfortable bed and enough space to feel at ease. The bathroom is a bit small but nothing really to complain about. I loved the closets because they are so well lit; no groping around needed. The only thing to complain about is their night tables; they could be larger. Plus there’s no gym but, in Paris, that would be asking too much unfortunately. Breakfast in the basement is quite adequate and typical of small Parisian hotels. This being France, la nourriture is of a better quality than you’ll find in other countries.
