Welcoming and helpful staff. Room small but clean, comfortable and quiet, although issues with the shower, which only ran cold and didn't drain properly (and UK visitors need reminding to take a plug for the basin). Nice old wooden staircase that might be difficult for some. No catering, but restaurant downstairs and excellent breakfast venue ('Good News') just round the corner. Not cheap, but this is Paris; very convenient (easy walking distance from Commerce metro).

The hotel is located in a good area, where there are many small shops and cafes, it is not scary to come back late in the evening. The room has hot water, clean towels, soap, shower gel. However, the room is tiny, especially the bathroom. The sink, toilet and shower are very close to each other. It is impossible to even dry yourself with a towel after a shower, you had to go out into the room. Everything is old, cracked and chipped. Cleaning was done only on the second day, then they just took away the trash. But the most unpleasant thing was that someone bit me, every night. My whole cheek and ear were covered in bites. I was very afraid that these were bedbugs, I did not want to bring this nasty thing home. Therefore, I do not recommend this hotel. For this price you can find better.
