Had to wait outside in our vehicle for nearly an hour to get ahold of anyone so we could check in. We're seen as an inconvenience to the individual checking us in. The room itself was decent, bed comfortable and clean. Towels were dingy nearly an eggshell white color. Electrical outlet on side nearest door was non functional. TV could not connect to any station while connect to hotel WiFi was able to connect via personal hotspot. Guests or long stayers on both sides had larger dogs that began barking at 615am. Overall would not recommend

great views of the lake, super awesome and helpful staff that make the stay here at the lodge more welcoming and comfortable, clean rooms all with a cheap and consistent price! we highly recommend staying here at the hawks nest lodge!

If you want the bare minimum, this is it. I’m 70, traveling alone. So they put me on the 3rd floor…no elevator. I have to walk up 3 flights of steps every time I go somewhere to eat, shop or whatever, bring it back to 3 flights of stairs! My suitcase, cooler were a real nightmare especially in 95 degree weather. The pool was green. Closed for maintenance. Lots of smokers. If you don’t like cigs, keep going. No coffee pot, no blow dryer, tv didn’t work. It got 1 channel. Charges $10 per night for Yorkie. Don’t look under the bed. Trust me on that one.
