The elevator was broken when I arrived which does happen at older hotels. The lobby was lovely and the music was haunting and classical reminiscent of the early 1900's when records were first created. There are no facilities on the first floor.

clean room, super inexpensive. but the noise from the downstairs bars made sleep impossible until the bars closed at 2am. also, for some strange reason, the air conditioning in the room can only be controlled from the front desk, in communication with the desk was not always easy
