Everything was good expect for AC doesn’t work couldn’t sleep and had an exam the day after. Was extremely hot. No fridge no slippers

Yes great location and I stay here back in 2023,that time enjoy every minute to check-in to bars staff,everything was wondering,but 2025,stay here three times,as had a great time back last booking I did,never again!!!!!! Please if u wants to check this yourself,the staff,was not nice,reception desk so needs training again,no happiness in that hotel,nothing in rooms worked,spent a lots of money,this is not the same hotel I stay in all though years ago,maybe the manger have changed

I visit this same clayton hotel in Birmingham back in 2023,I was WOW! This is the reason I decided to come back this year,book in there nights,been in so many different hotels around the world,so yes I know all about hotels,I am a happy bubbly person,full time cares,so u can see what kind of person I am,work in customer services industry over 25 years now, Just a simple person See what I like, and I just go for it! The rooms I stay in,let began here 1. Ask ahead if I could check in early,the reception said what time,so 2pm,yes she replied back,but as I got to check in,told room not ready yet,ok no problem I will have tea instead. So after 3pm,got in room,yes not back room,got in to bathroom,have to my bath,one of the reasons I booked this room. Someone forgot to Flash the toilet after doing a number two! So pick up the room telephone,unfortunately that didn't work,so no problem,but because my son have seziers,that was another reason booked here,telephone if needed,so waiting and waiting nobody come,didnt get too chilled out,as maybe needs to change room,so here me calling reception again,in the end got that problem solved,no water was coming out of toilet u see,anyway,by this time,was 5pm,so I been running around gets the clean jobs sorted out,instead of enjoying myself,son was asleep,I just sit down with tea,the reception guy was at the door,would u like to see the others rooms,we can change u over,here we go again,put shoes on,the same room,no different,you would had thought the hotel would at least try to upgrade us,as I was the one,who said we would like to change room,but this was at the beginning at 3pm,the guy was good in trying to help me out,I said we got everything sorted in our room,I ok with our Original room,. But the same night the same problem happened again,at 11pm,call reception but nothing was done,so I got the next morning,waiting and waiting for someone to sort this issue out,in the end I went down,anyone would had enough by now,in the rooms,no water was coming out of Bath,so again I trying to get some help,but nobody come,this is becoming a pattern,and the bar guys call Dominic well,he was the worst staff,went to dinner in the hotel restaurant,told the staff,could u put this on my room bill,I pay later,she said OK,but this guy call mr D,come after me,I was in room,had friends over,knock door,as I opened,oh u have not pay ur restaurant food bills,no worries I will later one,he would not giver up,so I said here my card,do u have card machine,oh no he didn't have that,in the end I said will go down to reception and pay,which I was on my way A.S.A.P after he left,got a call,oh u need to pay your bill,I on my way to u now,as I got to reception desk,was not happy,felt like these hotel staff think I going to run away without paying the bills,anyway my friend ask,as I was having so many problems since I got here,u could give her some free drinks,as a good will. We went to get our free drinks,was not to happy,but was thinking my luck is changing now,oh no the Mr D staff was waiting,I didn't seen him,was waiting at the bar,he come to me,and say,u have not pay your food bill,when I just pay this at the reception,so my friend told him this,so embarrassing as had a group of others customer enjoyed this night,and I can not understand why am I the one who having the worst day of my life,and not forgetting u pay lots of money in a four star hotel,for a bit of happiness,so I told him,just to leave me alone,he said say,u pay only 70pound downstairs,but u have another 20 to pay,I said why don't u ask your reception the person who told the money,and I not running away,here for fewer night,by this time my friend never seen me this upset,so she try to soft the problem out,anyway after all this do have more problems,just don't understand what is going on here,all the staff needs at least things before talking to customers
