Celtic Royal Hotel & Spa

Excellent location, big rooms, great facilities (take your swimmer stuff), good food, interesting place with history and very friendly staff.

Pros: good location in north wales to travel around. Also close to Castle, shops and restaurants in Caernarfon. Warm and helpful staff. Clean and spacious room Cons: pool was a bit cool although many are nowadays with energy costs! The sausages and bacon at breakfast were a bit cheap but perhaps I’m a pork snob!

Great hotel for families. Good food and pool facilities good location.

We booked a 2 night stay using Agoda and selected the bed & breakfast option. When w checked in at the hotel, breakfast was not included ! There was also an additional cost for pets which was not mentioned and car parking was also extra ! Car parking is usually paid direct to the hotel but really not very happy having to pay for breakfast again and also the hidden pet charges - £100 was added to our booking for a 2 night stay for pets & breakfast ! Our family room was adequate but the room was not very clean - there is so much dust and dirt on the edging & corners of the room and I don't think the skirting boards have ever been dusted - looked like there was years worth of dust layered on the surface ! Doors and handles also a little grubby. On the plus side, the staff were lovely, breakfast was good, location is great and beds, linen & towels were clean. My husband and son did use the pool which they enjoyed but the pool temperature was not to spa standards ! The tea and coffee provided in the room is the cheap stuff ! The revolving door at the front not very pet friendly - nightmare to get the dogs through - good luck if you have a large dog !
