Good facilities. Breakfast was very good. Staff were helpful and friendly. The room size was generous and we had access to the lounge.
Location was a little further out to walk to the main tourist sites. The room was clean. Some of the stairwells were not always clean and cluttered with boxes. The pool access for children was limited and the pool was not clean.

Clean hotel with all the amenities you would need. Located in front of the main street into downtown Athens, making it easy to take public transportation to the main sites. There are a few good restaurants and bakeries within a couple of blocks to get some food for breakfast or dinner.
Not conveniently located within walking distance of any sites. Neighborhood around it in sort of disrepair. They seem to have smoking rooms mixed with non-smoking ones in the same floor, and the hallway of our room smelled of cigarette smoke in front of some of the other rooms nearby ours.

The Grand Hyatt Athens is a truly beautiful hotel that offers a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. Everything feels exceptionally clean and well-maintained, and the overall design of both the hotel and the rooms is modern and elegant. The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming, which makes a big difference from the moment you arrive. Check-in and check-out are smooth and efficient, and the entire experience feels convenient and well-organized. Overall, it’s a place that not only looks great but also delivers a high level of comfort and service.
On the downside, it was disappointing that the sauna was out of order during the stay. For a hotel of this standard, having all wellness facilities fully operational is something you would expect, so this slightly affected the overall experience.

The building was nice. Easy neighborhood parking.
Staff was nice, but very slow with everything. Long lines for check-in and luggage handling/storage. Room cleanliness was dismal, with no sign of cleaning under the beds in the recent past. Room furniture was broken. In the last hours of our stay the plumbing stopped working - no water in the sink or toilet.
