This is an unusual mansion in that it is occupied by the owner and rented only when his family is not there. He happens to be a Michigan State University Hotel School Grad . The compound of buildings tends to be run like a great hotel would be. You can be left alone and cook for yourself or use as you would a five star hotel - YOUR CHOICE
5. LOCATION - The exact center of Copacabana - 100 feet from subway -5 minutes from beach -5 minutes Copcabana Palace Hotel. When sun goes down the beach is empty but our four corners pulse with energy
6. 5 STAR HOTEL AMENITIES - we give 7 DAYS A WEEK full time housekeeping and can provide optional great cooking from our staff - our Head Housekeeper lives across the street and has for 40 years. If you need a 6am coffee service or a midnight tidy up - its easy for us .We have a complete catering menu, full list of tours and events, favorite restaurant picks, and full time concierge. Or you can cook for yourself - we have a chefs kitchen - ideal for you. We have bikes, drivers, and everything you need to make a party. At home beauty and spa service Manicure, Pedicure, beautician, and massage available. The SPA at the Copacabana Palace Hotel has full range of services. Our local gym is one block away.

It may look like an old mansion but the villa was built and finished in 2007. The cottage is one of the original Copacabana granite miners houses. At the foot of our mews is the cliff and mountains of the long closed granite mines.
The newest addition to the villa is the 4 room - two floor - POOL HOUSE which was just finished July 20 2019. It is next to the two floor BALI SUITE. Gardens are always being totally redone and dozens of new orchids, vines, and now 5 new Jaboticaba trees planted - so you can pick your fresh Brazilian fruit daily.
8. WE ARE PICKY ABOUT DETAILS. ALWAYS REDECORATING, REFURBISHING, AND MAINTAINING. ALWAYS SOMETHING NEW. Check our instagram
We love a great party and have samba dancers, musicians,a resident bartender and because of the large size of the mansion your party can rock til wee hours - and neighbors not disturbed. Being great neighbors is VIP for us. State of the art air conditioning, smart energy. Incredible wifi - extensive cable service - and poolside television for night time movies and sports. GOOGLE devices in all bedrooms.
9. FOOD SERVICE - Not much point in renting a big space if there is no local restaurant for breakfast or you have to go out for a great dinner when after a beach or tour day you would rather be at home. You can work with our cook to have a inexpensive over the top experience in our dining rooms. Ask to see a PDF file of photos from some of our dinners. We buy local from our farmers market and the fishermans quarter. In addition we can help you choose the restaurants in RIo we consider GREAT without breaking your family budget. Guests seem to love it when we take them shopping. BUT FOR SURE - we know how to leave you alone when you want total privacy and only a daily cleaning.
10. WE CAN RISE TO THE OCCASION> There have been many weddings, corporate meetings, and reunions. We housed the grad business school of University of San Diego, the Tolstoy family reunion from Russia, a huge childrens group from a Texas church for the pope's visit, groups of visiting young athletes and performers. We have seen it all. After you reserve - we can forward you full PDF of our menu, our tour and event offerings and a couple of new music videos which were filmed at the villa this spring. The photos and videos show it best. The 3D floor plans will help you determine if the layout will work for you. We have an extensive drone video of our beach - our street and neighborhood being edited now. THe drone leaves the beach - enters the front gate and you see our little street - our houses - the pool and gardens - and enter and see the complete house and cottage. It is being edited and we should be able to have on this site soon. until then the unedited aerials gives you an idea.

Property was great and in an amazing location to everything. The last afternoon of our stay the water to the property was disconnected. With mainly all ladies in our party; this was unrealistic. No refund was offered for the inconvenience.

First of all this is a very unique and beautiful property. Located down a gated side street the house is off the road enough to be quiet yet a 5 minute walk from all the activities of the beaches! Stores and shops are close for stocking up for your stay.
Our group of 8 (with family and friends coming and going) had ample room. Ages ranged from 5 to 45. The kitchen had all the utensils one would need to seat a party of 12 or more.
The rooftop pool was clean and sweet for a dip. Lounge chairs were tidy and There were music speakers throughout with ample TVs for entertaining. Each bedroom had working air conditioning and comfortable beds. The kids preferred the “fun” rooms which had bunk/loft beds and were on the upper floors.
Management was quick to respond and reactive to our questions and needs before and during our stay. There were daily House cleaners that were so friendly and polite.
My only concern for anyone traveling with families is that the house is beautifully decorated, with some breakable items low enough to cause concern for any “handsy” toddler. This is not an issue with our 5 year old; however, if your kids like to be touchy you may need to keep this in mind. It is not a negative statement, it is just a parents perspective.
When we return to Rio for our next family gathering, we will be staying here again. It really was an ideal fit for us. I highly recommend it for both family and mid size work groups.

This property is an amazing place to stay in Rio. Its location cannot be beaten. It's just a three block walk to Copacabana beach. It's situated on the corner right across from the Siqueira Campos subway station, and taxis were plentiful on the area streets, making it easy to get to far-flung parts of town very easily. All of the major sights of the city were easily accessible to us. Christ the Redeemer, Pão de Açúcar, Copacabana and Ipanema beaches, and the nightlife of Rio Scenarium in Centro are all a short walk, cab, or train ride away. Within a block in any direction, you can find amazing restaurants, fantastic juice bars, grocery stores, and good shopping.
The property itself is visually stunning, expansive, and
a perfect home away from home. Each of the private bedrooms has a unique character, based on meticulous design, exquisite decor, and construction. The rooms are spread throughout the villa in such a way as to give privacy to members of even a large party renting the property. The villa's staff maintain the property in beautiful, immaculate condition. The villa is located on a private,locked walkway off the main street, making the property both safe and quiet. While just steps from the vibrant city, one feels secure and secluded while in the villa itself. I cannot imagine a better location from which to set out to see the sights of Rio de Janeiro. I would recommend this property to anyone looking to have the perfectly situated base for exploring all that there is to see there, and hope very much to have an opportunity to visit again!.
