About this apartment rental
This beautiful apt is located at Santa Maria Liberatrice Square, in the heart of Testaccio. It's just been renovated (March 2010) with refined taste with precious material (Wood, Travertine, etc.) and furnished tastefully.
It's situated on the first floor of a building which dates back to 19th Century. It's composed of (1) an entrance, (2) a well equipped kitchen (pots, pans, a microwave, a dish-washer, a toaster, a fridge, a freezer, gas-stove, an oven, a grill, etc.). A corridor leads to a living room (3) with a comfortable sofa double bed, a writing desk, a TV, a DVD, a stereo CD, a chair bed (very comfortable). (4) A spacious and beautiful bedroom, (5) A bathroom with a wonderful travertine shower. Next to the bathroom there's a small box room with a washing machine. At the end of the passage there's a wardrobe room. Coffee, tea, salt, sugar, vinegar, olive oil, chocolate, soap for dish washer and for the washing machine are provided.
Testaccio Area:: Even if in the heart of Testaccio area, calmness and peace are assured. The apt faces a quite courtyard. Outside the building there's a park with recreational facilities. The charming area of Testaccio is perhaps the last outpost of a nearly disappeared Rome. It's a slice of the city, next to Aventino and the Cocci Mountain, between Tiber bend at Ripa Grande and Piramide Cestia, next to Trastevere Area. It's nearly intact with the same original roman spirit. If you walk to Santa Maria Liberatrice, go around the famous fresh market counters (it is behind the building of the apt), Mattatoio, Campo Testaccio or to Acattolico Cemetery, you realize and breath the popular, human atmosphere.
Transport:: The apt is central, you can walk to the most important places in Rome but it's well connected by buses, trams, Piramide Subway. The subway leads to Coliseum, only 2 stops, to Piazza Navona etc.

Well equipped but space for meal prep and washing dishes was somewhat limited. Bedroom and lounge areas spacious. Didn’t use the laundry as there was no clothes dryer. Nicely decorated. Having the lift was very helpful. Lovely courtyard view from windows. Building was secure and quiet. Host was very responsive. Host arranged return to airport transport by van which was on time and very comfortable. Location was near buses and trams which we used a lot, and it was a 20 minute walk to Pirimide metro station which we also used. A transit pass is a great idea, which can be purchased at the Metro ststion. .

firstly the apartment is really centrally located moments away from many busses in a very safe area with restaurants and the testaccio market only steps away. the kitchen was fully equipped with everything needed for cooking. the washing machine was really appreciated and a large stand was provided for hanging the laundry. the apartment is exactly as shown in the pictures. the host’s mother was welcoming and did her best to help as we went to their other property by picking us up. the only problem was the shower did not drain well. other than that it was avery comfortable quiet stay
