The ledgowan bunkhouse does not provide any bedding. Not even a clean bottom sheet for each guest (the room is 40 pounds a night - not cheap). So even using a sleeping bag (you can buy there for 10 pounds), you wake up in the morning covered in the hair and skin of previous visitors… truly gross.
The radiators offered no heat, so the room was cold.
WiFi was hopeless.
The walls are so thin you can here everything the other guests are doing.
The kitchen has basic equipment for cooking and a kettle with free tea and coffee. There are no supermarkets or shops anywhere close so remember to bring food, drinks and anything you will need…
The bunkhouse could easily be a nice place to stay. But currently it’s gross unless you come well prepared.
