"An Comaraich - The Sanctuary"

A beautiful cottage, a thoughtful host, and a perfect base for Skye We absolutely loved our stay at An Comaraich. From the start, Alan’s communication was exceptional. The driveway could have been a little tricky to find, but his clear, detailed directions made it a cinch. When we arrived, we were immediately happy with the layout. The kitchen and pantry area were excellent, and Alan had thoughtfully stocked some food items for guests. He explained that people sometimes arrive late, and he does not want anyone stuck without something to make for dinner. That kind of thoughtfulness says a lot. The kitchen was very well appointed, with utensils, refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher, and everything we needed. We especially appreciated having a washer and dryer. It let us catch up on laundry halfway through our United Kingdom trip, which made a big difference. The cottage sits beside a beautiful waterway, visible from the windows, with a grassy field nearby. We enjoyed watching for animals passing through. We only saw two roosters wander across the property, but I imagine some lucky guests may spot deer or other wildlife. The house is also wonderfully set up with electronics and smart-home devices. It felt a lot like home for us. We enjoyed being able to use Alexa to turn lights on and off, but Alan also provided clear directions for anyone who prefers not to use those features. The open living and dining area was a great place to relax, eat, and unwind after exploring. The art-frame TV on the wall was lovely, and there were plenty of viewing options available. The bedrooms were large and very comfortable. Since there were three bedrooms, we even had extra space to spread out our luggage and reorganize for the next part of the trip. We were honestly sad to leave this beautiful cottage. It was a perfect launching point for the Isle of Skye, very close to the bridge, and very easy for day trips onto the island. An Comaraich was an amazing choice for us.

Great location. Peaceful spot! Great for a family or couples. Loved it! Fantastic views. Great communication from owners.

When we had to leave!

The view from the front room of this property is brilliant. Overlooking the loch and highlands opposite. The location is very quiet and relaxing. This was something everyone in my group commented on.

There was nothing I 'didnt like', although I suspect the isolation and lack of local facilities could be an issue for some.
