About this house rental
Beautifully restored historic home listed on the National Register. Farmhouse modern kitchen, four bedrooms (two with fireplaces) and two full baths upstairs and one full bath downstairs, living and dining rooms all comfortably furnished with antiques and custom furniture. Shady backyard and covered furnished back porch, bbq grill, wrap around front porch, hot tub, and porch swing. It’s a perfect family vacation rental! Well behaved pets allowed with a $50 pet fee each, limit two, and must be kenneled when left alone. Sleeps six. I have taken this spring while waiting for the return of families from afar to reunite and relax in Sadie’s House to spruce up! Fresh, plush towels, linens and pillows throughout, sanitized surfaces, scrubbed kitchen equipment, and thoroughly cleaned rugs and upholstery. We want you to stay healthy and safe!

I unfortunately was unable to stay at this property d/t scheduling conflicts. The host was very honest about the conflict after the booking was accepted and refunded me the entire amount. Abigail even attempted to find other accommodations for my family. I have stayed here several times over the years and always enjoyed it.

I would love to review this house, but we did NOT stay in this house. This rating is based on what we experienced with the host & in the other house. We arrived to this house (March) after booking in Jan. and hearing nothing but normal emails from Vrbo, to a house that was under construction due to a fire. We were not made aware of this priror to arriving at the house. Once we got in touch with the host, she directed us to a second house she had down the road to stay in, but it was also, not ready for us. We had several other minor issues, like not being able to get into the basement to access the hot tub the first night, we didn't have hot water, and lots of little bugs. We continued our stay non the less as we already spent the money on the house and at the end of the day a house is a house. Truly just disappointed in the lack of communication.We otherwise truly enjoyed our stay in the other house! The hot tub was amazing, the house itself is adorable and the general store is literally right next door! There is a ton of semi traffic through the town so beware of that!
