The main thing you should know about this apartment is that it’s located in a historic building from 1887. Inside, there are high ceilings, original window handles, and a view overlooking the park.
The location is perfect! It’s just a five-minute walk from the train station, which is especially convenient since many people arrive in Subotica by train. At the same time, the apartment is right in the historic city center, close to all the main attractions.
We initially booked just one night, but ended up staying longer - that says a lot. The apartment was very quiet - we slept well and truly enjoyed our time in Subotica.
Communication with the host was smooth and pleasant. The host also offered self check-in, which was very convenient, especially since we had to arrive later than planned. Thank you for everything 🩵

Easy communication with Davor meant he was able to meet us immediately outside the apartment. He’d secured a parking spot in the street with his own car and we just swapped places. Davor uses an app to pay for parking (only available on a local phone number) so we just repaid him in euro (2euro per half day).
We made a long detour to visit Subotica to see the Art Nouveau architecture and weren’t disappointed - except we’d have preferred to have stayed two nights instead of one. Davor’s apartment is in a prime position in the centre of the city with a view across the road to a park (and our parked car). It’s on the first floor with very high ceilings, in a typical 19th century European apartment building with a central courtyard and wide marble stairs. We found it very comfortable, with contemporary furnishings and all we needed for our short stay. There are several restaurants and bars in the street behind the apartment that can be quickly accessed through a hotel courtyard if you don’t want to cook.
But as always, the icing on the cake was the interaction with our host, Davor, who was available to answer any questions, extend our parking and come to our help in the evening at very short notice.
The apartment is next door to a beautiful Art Nouveau building, now an art gallery (cash only) and only a couple of minutes to the City Hall that does daily tours at mid-day (cash only), starting at the tourist office in the City Hall. Both worthwhile visiting.
