Very beautiful location off the beaten track. Like others I got quite lost near the end - if your Sat Nav takes you off asphalt road near the end - you’ve gone wrong! Stop and call the owner. I didn’t meet the son but the mother was lovely and very hospitable. I didn’t dine/eat there so cannot comment on the food. The mother provided a cold drink, some fruit and some free sweet pancakes - which was very kind. There’s a stream at the end of the garden and beautiful views of the mountains.
No place to hang clothes in the shared bathroom.
Registering my stay was only possible once the son got involved. Bring insect repellent.

We spent two nights at Privatni smještaj “Mratinje” and loved every minute. Petar and his mother are genuinely kind and welcoming hosts. The house is cozy, the garden is beautiful, and the setting is peaceful—exactly what you want before and after a mountain day. The homemade dishes from Petar’s mother were excellent and felt like true local comfort food. As a base for climbing Maglić, it couldn’t be better. We’ll definitely be back.

Il posto bellissimo in mezzo alla natura bisogna costeggiare un lago stupendo con dei colori fantastici... la Signora che gestisce la casa è squisita molto cordiale e servizievole... chiaramente per chi ama la natura... ci ritornerò
