About this apartment rental
2 bedroom apartment in a unique context: an ancient olive oil mill newly converted into an exclusive and luxurious holiday house. Thanks to accurate architectural restoration, the XVII th century building, perhaps a former monastery due to its “cloister” structure, has been transformed into luxury apartments, situated in a small valley, amid Tuscan olive-groves, cypresses and vineyards. The apartment is spacious and well decorated, with cotto tiles and wooden beams. It’s fully air conditioned and has wi-fi internet connection. It has two bedrooms: one with a double bed and another with twin beds which can be transformed into a double bed. A folding bed or a crib can be added on request. It has a fireplace in the living room and a fully equipped kitchenette. Mosquito nets will protect your nights while listening to the crickets. For a larger group we also own a studio just next door (see ref 8759709), which can accomodate 2 extra guests. You can relax after excursions in the vast garden and enjoy the swimming pool in the quiet atmosphere, savoring the smells of lavender, rosemary, and sage plants. There is a big table in the garden, where you can barbecue the famous “chianina” meat, one of the most delicious local products, together with wines and extra-virgin olive oil. Cooking classes and wine tasting tours can be arranged, as well as bike rental and horse riding.

Possibility to rent pool towels at € 3.00 per person, per stay. Please indicate your choices when booking. The tourist tax is calculated for the first four nights at € 2.50 per person, excluding children under 12 years. All these costs will be paid at check in either in cash or by instant transfer.

Everything was great: location, swimming pool, nature, friendly neighbours. Only downside was that our apartment did not have a terrace so no place to sit outside.

Our stay there was gorgeous, it's an really well-kept area with a wonderful building, a fantastic pool and nice plants all over the place. There are in total 30 flats but during our stay the place was never too growded, the most time we saw only a few people. The contact with the agency was via WhatsApp and without any problems. Elisa was very friendly, answered always quickly and provided also tips when asked for. What could have been better? Looking back, we should have rented an apartment with balcony or terrace, so we would have been able to sit outside in the evening hours with some private space. Flat Number 30 has none of them. The flat itself has only a very small TV which isn't able to receive international TV (no connection to satellite or cable, only DVB-T), so if you don't speak Italian, its worthless. The kitchen has also seen more then two decades in my opinion, the extractor fan didn't work and not every flap or board in the kitchen or on the kitchen shelf was still well fixed. The cooking field was pretty old school and needed a lot of time to warm up. The rest of the flat doesn't give reasons to complain. Only in the case you have gathered a lot of weight, the shower cabin could be a problem, it's pretty narrow. In a distance of appr. 2 or 3 kilometers you can find several big supermarkets. It is also possible to make a walk to cortona, this is an uphill walk of a 3 km distance.

Great facilities, nice pool, very helpful host. We had a great time. Cortona is a somewhat hidden gem, really wonderful vacation overall.
The apartment does not have a private garden or balcony, but the shared area is large and quiet.

Beautiful location, great apartment and great pool. There are 30 apartments, but it was not that busy. So great time we had.
