- The property manager lives on-site in a separate home (about 30 feet from the rental home, separated by the largely overgrown backyard promoting privacy and habitat for songbirds and honeybees). As such, the backyard is not intended for guest use
- Geckos may be present, due to the location of this property. They are not harmful and are a natural form of pest control
- Maid service is available for an additional fee and can be arranged through the Guest Contact
- This unit is in a residential neighborhood abutting the undeveloped Kolaoa, Hawaiian Home Land Preserve. As such, the neighborhood is home to various wild birds you will hear throughout the day and peep frogs you will hear at night. Wild goats often roam the neighborhood but are extremely shy and will quickly run back to the preserve when they detect human presence. Neighbors also keep chickens and roosters that you will hear throughout the day. Those who find the sound of roosters crowing annoying, along with the delightful wild songbirds, may want to rent elsewhere

My family had a wonderful experience staying at this rental house. We had a fantastic view of the Pacific Ocean and the airport while relaxing at the deck in the afternoons/early evenings. As expected there were those green geckos everywhere - we think they are sooo cute !!! We are thankful that the Kelly (property manager) allowed us to stay a little bit longer before we checked out! We will definitely recommend this rental house to our friends who spends their vacation in Kona!!!

Location was great for us while we explored the drier side of the island. Living spaces and bedrooms were comfortable and nicely decorated. The deck was under-construction (Nov 2019) so the deck looked nothing like the pictures, felt like we were in a box. If we would have known we would have picked a different place to rent as it was a selling point for us. Looks like it will be nice when completed, confirm with the owner before renting if it is an attraction for you.
Neighborhood was quiet, everyone seemed friendly. Short 15-20 min drive to Kona, 30-35 to Captain Cook. Liked how the house was in-between 19 and 190 for driving options.
Check in was easy, communication with Kelly regarding checkout was also easy. Kitchen was supplied with everything we needed to make meals, the cooler, snorkel and boogie board equipment was in good condition and very helpful.
